Index
- Integration with Sitecore's event handler gives you incremental publication. This means that the search index is updated as soon as you publish a document.
- Full control of what content to be indexed through Sitecore's templates.
- Supports indexing of Microsoft Office documents as well as Adobe PDF documents.
- Built-in support of multiple indexes (for example different language versions of your homepage).
Search results
- Search results are shown as an integrated part of your design using web controls and XSL renderings.
- Multiple options: relevance, grouping, document field (for example title), hierarchical sorting on several levels. Built-in support of grouped searches and sorting according to date and/or categories.
- Mark up of search words and related words in titles and document content.
Administration
- Fully documented API. The plug in supports an installer, which installs the software on a Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server. The search engine is exposed through .NET and accessible using a documented CLR-compatible API
- The administration interface is integrated in the familiar Sitecore interface.
- Supports staged Sitecore installations.
Language technology
- Built-in spell-checker, inflection dictionary and thesaurus. Currently available in English (UK), English (US), Danish, Swedish, Norwegian (Nynorsk) and Norwegian (Bokmål). More languages are on the way.
